Latest news from Conquest Vegas

Greetings Fellow Star Fleet Battles Players:

Over the past year Las Vegas has truly blossomed as a hub of Star Fleet Battles activity. Our local gaming group is proud to have delivered two sanctioned Rated Ace tournaments and hosted a number of Star Fleet Battles and Federation Commander meetups. We are gearing up for our third Rated Ace tourney and would like to take this opportunity to share some of the specifics of the event in case you decide to pack up the car and head to Vegas for an extended weekend.

Van Henson, our resident two-time Rated Ace captain, will be organizing and judging our two scheduled tournaments. The opening rounds of the Rated Ace single elimination event will take place during the evenings of Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning. This will give you plenty of time to get your first game out of the way and move on to other gaming sessions at the convention. Quarter and semi-finals will take place Saturday afternoon and evening and the final head-to-head match will take place on Sunday.

The Open Patrol tournament will take place all day Thursday through Saturday. For those of you who aren't familiar with the Open Patrol format, you basically play as much SFB as you can over the course of three days and the individual with the best record wins.

Hugh Bishop will be running a Federation Commander session and Tom Timmerman has thrown his hat in the ring to oversee an Omega Sector scenario. Should be a fun filled weekend!

Feel free to email me with any questions you may have. I hope to see some of you there.
