This hasn't actually arisen in a game yet, but I had an odd thought last night. How does the Hellbore Cannon interact with the Juggernaut in FedCom? iirc, in SFB it was treated as firing in "Direct Fire Mode" (i.e. half damage against the facing side only), but that isn't available in FedCom.
Also, just to double check...
Example -
A Hydran Dragoon fires two of its Hellbores at a D7. The Hellbores inflict 5 points of internal damage through the #3 shield facing, and 1 point through the #6 facing. When rolling on the damage table, are the damage totals combined into a single roll for 6 points of internal damage? Or do you roll once for 5 internals, and roll again for the other point? |

Juggernaught: Ooooo. Never even thought of that one. I'll just have to kick it up.
To mimic the SFB behavior, just apply the first hellbore damage number to the facing shield/armor and discard the second damage number.
On your second question, you would have two separate rolls, since they are separate volleys. You would have one roll for the five damage points, and another roll for the one damage point. _________________
