So I give you the Federation GDN and GCL Specifically built for the Reptilian races of the Federation so they could serve as a liaison to the Gorn.
The saucer is based on the Federation Tug for phaser layout, and the Photon launchers are in the wings (3 for each wing on the GDN and 2 in each wing on the GCL). The wing also have Phaser mounts (2 on each wing of the GDN and 1 on each wing of the GCL).

I've considered taking an old Gorn CA (lead) cutting the wings off and mounting them top/bottom and the engines on the side of the rear saucer. |

One of the things I love about computers You can cut and paste your kitbash mod before actually doing it.

That's exactly what I had in mind. The engines: no problem. Wings: cutting them off would be harder to get a clean cut and not remove too much material. |

Makes for an interesting exercise in modeling ---
Though we're discussing a fictional power/movement source, I believe the engine mounting is done due to affects on the warp bubble --- which even in a fictional state would require severe engineering work to ensure their wasn't an issue there ---
Personally, the way its described to work, can't see a single engine or even three engines being an affective way to operate --- |

That reminds me of the old Star Trek Spaceflight Chronology, which had a three-warp-engined ship called the Triton which was a failure due to the warp field effects of the third engine. Always thought that was ironic since the DN was a successful design and had been introduced in the Star Fleet Technical Manual before the Spaceflight Chronology was ever thought of, much less written. _________________ "His pattern indicates two-dimensional thinking."
