While I appreciate why the Spider Rate Control system has been put into effect on the forum, I'm personally finding that it could use some adjustment to be less limiting. I find I'm getting the "slow down" messages almost constantly.

I've never had any problems on this board.

I have never seen such a message, and we have no control over "spider rates". Might be something your ISP is doing?

Occasionally if I edit something immediately after I've posted, I get a message that "Flood Control" has kicked in and I can't repost anything for twenty seconds after I post a message. I would assume that this is what he's referring to.

Overall, I don't find it to be a problem however.

And now the problem is gone...must be my ISP. Thanks for the comments.

I get that too, from both work and home. I too find it to be no problem in either case, but it's a forum software feature rather than an ISP issue.

Y'all must be faster typers than me since I've never gotten that. Of course, internet tends to be slow here too.

It's not anything ADB is doing. It might in theory be the host server or built into the software, I guess, but I wouldn't know about it or have any control over it.

I get the "you're trying to edit your message too soon, wait a few moments and then try again" message all the time, and it's because I am doing exactly that (usually when I catch a spelling error just as I click Submit). It's no big deal and just php doing what it should to try and limit spambots.

That's what I think too. It's no big deal Smile
