Does this ever really make it worth doing? Doesn't really seem like it. _________________ "The good of the many outweighs the good of the few"

???
Maybe in a fleet battle and you need to go with one phaser 3 on each ship to get in under the point value limits?

Does the ph-3 still take up a full weapons slot, or can you mount two together?
(Or am I getting confused with the Twin Lasers in the Cloud again?)
Even if you can't, they are handy for cheap-ish drone defence, if you have a ship that can't spare too much power... _________________ FC Omega Discussion (v3)

I don't have the answer on how many Phaser 3s you can fit.
My guess as to "why?" is the same as to "Why anything in FC?" because of some non-game "real" world circumstance.
For some reason an Orion captain may only have access to the inferior Phaser 2s when fitting phasers to his option mounts.
For scenario design the possibility is nice as it allows fine tuning the balance. |

Yes. One Phaser-3 still takes a full weapon box. _________________ Commander, Battlegroup Murfreesboro
