Hi everyone,
Would there be any interest in a publically run game of Federation Admiral? Due to the turn based nature of Federation Admiral, we could run a game via email or forum and resolve the battles in Federation Commander with the help of some volunteers, via SFBOnline, or with the FCSCR. We could run a big game with several empires, or my personal favorite of 2 teams with each player being assigned a variety of commands based on experience.
Obviously we have to wait until Federation Admiral (or First Campaigns) is available, but it would give me time to plan and work up a great backstory for such a game. It might also be an easy way to learn the game for anyone interested and wants to see what Federation Admiral is about. What do you think?

As long as it's online. i don't think I could make a journy all the way to somewhere besides NY for just a few FC games. |

Jay,
One thing that you might want to look at for ecnounter resolution
is farming out the scenarios to an independent group (possibly with "orders" or guidance from fleet command). This would give more of the feel of a commander seperate from the fleet he's commanding.
Of course, this might be much more difficult than it sounds. |

Hi Steve,
I think that could be a lot of fun. We could have some people playing the campaign, and then some volunteer field captains handling the battles with some instructions from high command on how to conduct themselves. We will certainly ask when we get this thing going!

This slightly off subject, but I am curious.
Is there estimated released the Admrial game? Not the playtest your talking about, but the actual release. |
