This question is mini related.
What is the difference between the Fed DDM and the Fed DDF?
Booster 91 has the shipcards for Fed DDM, DDG, SC, and DDL and the new mini's coming out in February are the DDF, DDG, SC, and DDF.
Is there a ship card for the DDF?
How could you make one of the other DD mini's into a DDM?
I noticed a shipcard for a DD (FJ) on the master list. |

| The DDF is a "Fast" DD. It's comprised of the DD engine and a Federation "Fast" (spade shaped) saucer.

I thought I had seen one, but I don't see it on the Master Ship Card list. Perhaps I had only seen a home-brew version and thought is was official.
Maybe we can request it for Communique?

Just paint it with the appropriate weapon mounts. Or if you're a purist, you cna remove any unneccessary weapon ports. _________________ Commander, Battlegroup Murfreesboro

Thanks, Tony.
I just realized that DD (FJ) is for Franz Joseph design.
A communique shipcard for the DDF would be nice for the February communique since the mini is also coming out that month. |

Email sent to SVC requesting the DDF as a Communique ship. _________________ Commander, Battlegroup Murfreesboro

I concur with Tony.
The DDM is the "early years" Destroyer, which was eventually refit to the DD (FJ) "original" Destroyer by adding two more photons - but no extra power to really use them. The DDM is just a repaint of the stock DD mini (as are all the other DD hulls, except the Scout and Fast Destroyer).
Because of all the different saucers available now, ADB will be selling unique minis for the DDL, DDG, etc. Really though on the game table you could use any mini as any type and nobody should blink.
The DDF fast destroyer does indeed use the "spade" shaped saucer. My kitbash version I did a few years ago:
I did a homebrew card of the DDF a few years back, when I did my mini. _________________

Aha! That's it. I remember Will talking about having made a DDF ship card when I was trying to get a DDF kitbash of my own going on.
I knew there was one somewhere. _________________ Commander, Battlegroup Murfreesboro
