Thought I'd start a thread here dealing with Prime Directive for Savage Worlds Explorers Edition. I know that Steve mentioned it was being converted in this thread . As a player of both d20 and now D20M versions, I want to show my support as it will be my main system when it comes out. As a GM of SW:EX for several years, I'm hoping to run some convention games with it soon... to spread the word of both great properties.

Any other Savages here?

Thought I'd post a link to using a projector for encounter maps from our game... It is a crash site and the players need to investigate. A prime team has been dispatched to the planet where a beacon had been heard.

I'd love to see Savage World as well as Mongoose Traveller editions for PD.

So would I. Start emailing Jean's boss about how much Jean hates her job and wishes she would be fired in the next round of layoffs.

Steve Petrick says to tell you all that his campaign to get Jean moved to Texas includes emailing Jean's boss funny stories Jean has (supposedly) posted on the BBS about how she (Jean) is pulling the wool over her boss's eyes and subverting her boss's management plans.

Easiest way to go about getting her unemployed would be for the Steves to purchase the company she works for, then close it----

Tough to do, since Jean is a librarian.

Uh-oh!
Good thing I'm responsible for getting baby car safely to the Holiday Inn Express, otherwise I might be in real trouble! Cool

A Savage Worlds ed of Prime Driective would be pretty nice. It would work well for Prime Teams, Police, Explorer campiagns. And it would even fit in nicely in a Weird War or Band of Brothers take on the General War.

It wouldn't work well for Diplomatic, Political or Grand Stratigist games (think the more recent Honor Harringtion books where she's an Admiral). The System really isn't oriented for that.

If you wanted a campain with ship battles, you can adapt the vehicualr combat rules or evn build a starship like a character.

Hmm.... I think I like that idea. Of to build a Burle Class FF and an E4 as SW characters to see what I come with.

OK. Here's the first draft of a Burke Frigate as a Savage Worlds character if I'm stepping on any toes, by all means let me know Smile:

Federation Burke class Frigate (Non-Wildcard)

Agility: D8
Smarts: NA (provided by Capatin)
Spirit: NA (provided by Chief Engineer)
Strength: NA (but could be used to represent Boarding Paties)
Vigor: D6
Pace: 18 (based on std pace of 6 and 1/3 movement cost
Charisma: NA (But a Wild Card Ship may gain Charisma like a certain Constitution class Heavy Cruiser's reputaion)
Toughness: 6 +6 Per shield facing 6 individual shield sides (note have not figured how to do ablative yet)

Weapons:

Photon Torpeado(x2): Range 50/100/200 (FA) damage 3D6+1
(note: each torpeado fires every other turn)

Phaser type 1(x3): Range 50/100/200 ( 1 in each FH,RS,LS arc) 1-3D6

Phaser type 3(x2): Range 15/30/60 (in each LS,RS arc) 1-2D6

Drone Launcher type G: (haven't figured this one out, yet)

Opinions?
