If a WYN fleet has a ship choose hellbores using rule 4K1d (1 ship in 3 can take HB in a disrupter mount), is there a limit to the number of HB that a ship can take (ie can a AuxBC take 4 HB in its option mounts)? |

AFAIK there is no limit to the number of hellbores a ship can take in its optional mounts, so yes, an AxBC could take 4 HB. _________________ "Captain" Terry O'Carroll, fourteen papers published including six best of issue

I remember a limit being set in the revised rule book. I believe it is in the orion weapons section though I am pretty sure it applies to all optional mounts. |

Orion ships have limits on the number of hellbores a given ship can use. I would have to look at the relevant WYN ship cards to see if they have anything on them.
The WYN fish ships are irrelevant, as they can only use phasers and drones. The WYN-Orion ships use the Orion restrictions given in (5L1). The only real question is the AUX ships, and I have to check what is printed on them. _________________

OK I am confused, I just went through my ship cards, what on earth is an orion-wyn?
PS I agree with Terry, the aux-bc is a WYN ship, it has 4 disrupter capable mounts so can take 4 HB if the 1 in 3 is met. |

THe WYN cluster purchased several different Orion-built vessels, which lacked (IIRC) the stealth covering and engine doubling, but retained the option mounts. |

Orion ships purchased by the WYN keep the stealth bonus, but lose the engine doubling. They also keep the options mounts. No new ship cards were published, as they are identical to standard Orion designs. The WYN have several LRs and CRs, plus a small number of BRs. (They don't use any other Orion designs, IIRC.) _________________
