|
|
I'm learning the FCOL client and have been trying to watch a few games. I can watch SFB games without issue, however, when I try to watch FC games, all of the ship counters appear to be a generic grey ship and I cannot view the opponent's SSDs. When I start my own games (just by myself for learning, so far not with an opponent), I see the correct counters and SSDs.
Is this just because I haven't purchased a subscription yet (I'm still using the free demo account while I learn how to use the client). Any help or ideas would be appreciated (apologies in advance if I've missed a post about this somewhere). Thanks,

My Guess would be your FED COM Library file is not up to date. Go to the TOOLS Menu, Select LIBRARY, click the FC tab, then click the UPDATE LIST button. Click YES when it asks if you want to check existing list for updates. When it finished that click the Download Button. _________________ My goal in life is to be the kind of person my dog thinks I am. |

Ahhh, that might be the problem. I make sure the client is up to date, but didn't know the library update was separate.
Looks like I get an error trying to update the list:
Problem getting the latest list from the server.

I'll keep trying throughout the day and hopefully it will resolve itself. Thanks,
Garrett

I'm not sure, but it MIGHT be you can't access the library with the DEMO account.... _________________ My goal in life is to be the kind of person my dog thinks I am. |

Yup. The problem IS that you can't get access using a Demo account. |

Sounds good. I'll look forward to all of the counters/ships when I purchase a subscription. Thanks for all the help and info, I really appreciate it.
