|

Damage from volleys including disruptors scored against an Andromedan PA panel bank get one point of burn through for each ten points scored. If a volley scores, say, 15 points, is that rounded up (1.5 rounded up, or 2) or down (to 1)? I've been playing it as rounded down, but wanted to be sure. _________________ "Captain" Terry O'Carroll, fourteen papers published including six best of issue

No rounding. It is whole 10 points. So,
0-9 points: no burn through
10-19 points: 1 point of burn through
20-29 points: 2 points of burn through
and so on. _________________

Sorry to necro this thread, but the question is germane.
If I score three Disruptor burnthrough points as in Terry's example above, do I roll three separate times on the damage table, or do I roll once and then take the results from Columns 1, 2 and 3?
For example, say I roll a '1', do I score 'RWarp-Impulse-LWarp', or do I score 'RWarp' then roll the die again another twice, scoring possibly different damage rows? _________________

We've always played continuous across the chart.
That's why our disruptor dudes always target weapons.
30 points gets 3 burn through and a 50% chance of Phaser-Drone (err. PA Panel), Torpedo. _________________ Commander, Battlegroup Murfreesboro

There was an addition to (3G2b) for Rev6 that says: "Mulitple burn through points are combined into a single volley." _________________

There is indeed. Just spotted it before reading your answers
Thanks guys.
Tony, have you considered putting your trick above in as a tactical article? I will leave that trick out of my new article.... _________________

Mine's submitted too. Let's hope they include them both as a sort of 'tag team' effort..... _________________

huh...I never considered that you could use directed damage on burn-though points.
I don't think i like that rule. |

Jon - Try it giving rather than receiving. It feels a whole lot better that way round _________________

You almost have to use it.
The only way to use directed targeting is to declare it before the dice are rolled.
At that point, you don't know if you're goign to hit or not... and if so; will you do 9 points, or 49? _________________ Commander, Battlegroup Murfreesboro
