Played Romulan in old SFB - simply because that was the vacant race in the campaign I joined. Enveloping Plasma R. Drool. Need I say more?
Then along came SFC. Can I make head or tail of plasma? Can I heck. Absolutely love the new Klingons though!
And that's the point: I think you're better off shifting to a new weapon when moving from SFB to C because the changes really mess you up. This is an observation not a criticism - I think all the races are more "themselves" in SFC than they were in SFB. Great job, guys! _________________ Famous last words #11: "That's a very big fleet!" |

SFC is the acronym for "Star Fleet Command", a computer simulation of starship combet in the Star Trek universe. I think you mean FC - "Federation Commander". _________________ Commander, Battlegroup Murfreesboro

PinkFluffyChicken: Out of curiousity, what is the quote for "Famous Last Words #1"? _________________ Commander, Battlegroup Murfreesboro

Grin.
I intend to invent "famous last words" which should illustrate major tactical errors (most of them committed by me at one time or another) in an amusing way. Fits rather well with the Bad tactics section someone (you?) set up. _________________ Famous last words #11: "That's a very big fleet!" |

The most challenging to play for me are the Lyrans.
Do you use the ESG for drone defense, or do you try for the ram?
You've got a lot of power, but your turn mode ain't that great, comparatively. This means Saber Dancing is harder.
Lyran ship designers don't like overlapping arcs or providing a lot of FX/RX stuff (you get LS/RS instead)...so turning someone through the arcs while getting the opponent's same shield all the time is a real challenge. _________________ "Confucius Say: Just because one end for eating, not mean other end for talking." |
