One could shorten the pylons slightly, (depending on how they attach to the engineering hull) to get them a little closer to the image djdood posted. (You're quite right, djdood, I hadn't noticed that.)
Mind you, we could argue that the SFU Connie class is not the exact same ship as the Trek ship, but an 'alternate universe' variation. A little physical difference is to be expected.
Hmm, am I remembering correctly? - Didn't the Defiant (NCC 1764) have an aft-facing photorp tube in the 'Enterprise' episode "In a Mirror, Darkly?" _________________ "The belief in the possibility of a short, decisive war appears to be one of the most ancient and dangerous of Klingon illusions." |

Wile hat might be true...remember that the SFU can't use that bit of info. _________________ O.G. OPTIMUS

Fear not, I'm not suggesting changes that bring the design closer to the 'canon' TV design, merely pointing out another difference from the SFU vessel to the TV ship. No rear-firing photorp on the SFU design. _________________ "The belief in the possibility of a short, decisive war appears to be one of the most ancient and dangerous of Klingon illusions." |
