I just found the playtest robot rules on the Commander's Circle. Has anyone tried to use them to run a small Klingon or Kzinti fleet? |

Are you referring to using one set of orders for the entire fleet?
The problem in doing that would be what happens as different ships take damage. Damage will change what each ship will be capable of doing and any type of formation will break up. If separate orders are generated for separated ships, you could have some ships turning to move away while one heavily damaged ship heads straight into the jaws of death. _________________ Mike

It would take a long time to use them to run a small fleet. If a computer program could be written to handle the robots it would make it much faster. I have long thought that it would be fun to use the robot rules to run the Klingons in a Hood-type scenario, the random nature of the robot would give the Hood a fighting chance. _________________ "Captain" Terry O'Carroll, fourteen papers published including six best of issue
