I have a question about the Aegis escorts. If a drone impacts a friendly ship, the Aegis ship can shoot at the drone during the defensive fire step. So my question is, if the Aegis ship is in the same hex as the ship that suffers an impact, what is the range to the drone? Is it one, like if the Aegis ship was defending itself? Or is the range 0, because the weapon is in the same hex as the Aegis ship? |

My own interpretation is that it would fire at Range 1. This is because I would imagine that even an Aegis ship would be shooting at the seeker 'all the way in', when the Aegis ship is in the same hex as the ship that it is defending.
Granted, an Aegis ship can also fire phasers at any impacted weapon within 4 hexes; this however would take place at the range between the Aegis ship and the one that has been 'hit'.
This is only my take on it, though; let's see what Mike says _________________
