I just finished reading through the rule set, and I think I grasp most of if. My question is about PFs and PFTs. Each PF has a combat factor of 2, costs 0.5 economic points, and they are operated in flotillias of 6 PFs.
So, lets say on one turn, I am playing Klingon. I decide to produce one D5P and convert one C8V to a C8S. The D5P costs 13 (10+3 for PFs). It's stats are 5-7P, so in combat uncrippeled has an attack value of 17(5+12 for PFs) and a defence value of 7.
The C8S costs 5 to convert from a C8V. It has stats of 10-12(6P), so in combat it attacks at 28 (10+6 fighers+12 PFs) and has a defence of 12. Am I correct, or way off? |

You got it, except of course that the fighters and PFs also have to be destroyed.
If the enemy let's the damage fall, you blow off the fighters first since you get free replacements at the end of your turn.
Then you give up the PFs because they're cheap to buy and dont take shipyard capacity.
Don't give up the ship, Bur some other ship first.
If he does directed Damage on the PFT or SCS, that leaves the fighters and PFs looking for a new home (and there are oodles of rules about that). But you'll possibly still have points to resolve so you still use the fighters. _________________ The Guy Who Designed Fed Commander
