Okay... sounds like Awful Green Things From Outer Space... but with multiplayer screwage, a D7 deck plan usable with other games... maybe some minis that can be used with other games... and some more crazy multiplayer screwage. Also, optional realistic rules that are sorta like Space Hulk, but not stupid like Space Hulk... but something someone that knows anything about real infantry tactics could accept and excel at.
An SFU game that my Settlers of Cataan type friends could stomach... but that can also hold my attention.
I admit... I cringed when I first saw the pom poms... but this sounds like a pretty good idea.
(Awful Green Things is unbelievably fun, by the way. Egads, what a game!) _________________ Jeffro's Space Gaming Blog

You should try it, nice little beer/pretzels game ---
Has a very similar theme, spaceship with invaders, which multiply, crew has to destroy them to survive ---
Why I brought it up, at first mention of Klingons Love Tribbles |

Let me put it this way.
The list of most significant microgames of all time evar.... Ogre, Star Fleet Battles, Starfire, and Car Wars are all on it. Awful Green Things is in that list, too.
(And of course, Steve Cole and Steve Jackson are the only two designers that have more than one game on that list.)
(Wait... Howard Thompson gets two entries, too. Chitin and Warp War.)
(But what are the other three games...? Hmm.... Probably G.E.V., Melee, and Wizard. But I'm not biased. Steve Jackson totally owned the microgame format. Sorry... it's just the truth!)
[That's "owned" as in "pwned", not literally owning the trademark.] _________________ Jeffro's Space Gaming Blog

TvK is much closer to Zombies!!! in design, although I understand it's designed to fix the problems the Steves see in that game. Awful Green Things is a fun game, but the player experience is very different to Zombies!!! _________________ "Captain" Terry O'Carroll, fourteen papers published including six best of issue

Okay, that makes sense now. I must say that I agree with the Steves that these Zombie games are awful. _________________ Jeffro's Space Gaming Blog

The difference in AGTFOS from Zombies, in most (if not all) Zombie games, there are entirely too many Munchin rules/cards to disadvantage the players (not like the whole idea doesn't already do that) ---
I find Zombie games real close to Polls, lots of options, but normally not the ones I would choose first (why I avoid both when possible) --- |
