Time to start the Vudar thread. For these ships the base hull color is Tamiya Metallic Green with a dry brushing of dark green over that. After the details were painted I gave them a watercolor black wash. The engines and reactors are gold enamel covered with clear red/blue.
Dreadnought
Heavy Cruiser
War Cruiser
Destroyer
Frigate

Both of those fleets look great.
Wedge, the bright colors and crisp lines make those ships really pop.
Marcus, I like that metallic green you have there. I also might try that black watercolor wash on a couple of projects in the near future.
Great work by both of you! _________________ Let's get DANGEROUS!

Thanks. I like his wash effect as well. I enjoy seeing others' painted minis. I learn something new each time. Most recently, I started practicing with washes and dry-brush. |
