I am a follower of the TOS fan films like ST Phase II, Exeter and Starship Farragut. You can often see references to SFU and SFB/FedCom maneuvers and tactics in these films. I was positively surprised to see a few scenes in the last episode of Farragut that, as far as I know, show for the first time a live action representation of some common SFB tactics : the High Energy Turn and the use of phasers to decrease a plasma torpedo payload.
The battle is between the Farragut (a Fed CA) and a Romulan Eagle. You can watch it at around 22min, into the episode.

Starship Farragut REALLY stuck with the Franz Josef designs in its first episode opening credits. It shows the Farragut passing through the solar system. As it passes Jupiter, it shows a starbase and a tug hauling 3 pods. The images look as if someone copied the ADB minis for those things.
Then the destroyer in that episode is a true Saladin class ship. _________________ Mike
