From memory, the FH was an early Kzinti attempt to man-up the FF. It added another disruptor and forward PH-1, and changed the Wing PH-3 to PH-1. However, this overstressed the hull, meaning that shock had to be rolled for in SFB. In FC, I'd imaging that this would be treated like the Fed BCJ or Klingon F6, so there would be a restriction on when the second Disr could be fired. The massive upgunning of the phaser battery would be pretty good in FC. _________________ Nothing is quite as persuasive as a disruptor pistol on slow burn and a rotisserie...... |

Thx everyone.
Sounds like those are good ships, but not necessarily one to put #1 on my list of request. (It's pretty close though)
I'm looking for a new Kzinti ship to request, but since I threw away my SFB SSDs, I really don't have things to look up.
I'd really like to have Fed-like ship numbers for the Kzinti (or at least Klingon-like numbers). I understand ADB has to balance popularity with resources. Just a "me too" thing, I guess. (No offense is intended by that comment; just a wishing well moment) _________________ Speed is life; Patience is victory

I think the Kzinti FFB was requested for conversion a while back, but I'll reiterate it now. It's a worthwhile ship to have. _________________

I really liked the Jindarin ships back when I played SFB. They were a fun little race. _________________ If it does not fit, use a bigger hammer.

SVC...thx for the link.
I got a pretty good list from SFBOnline. I've been slowly (very slowly) comparing it with the SFB Ship List. That link will help a lot. _________________ Speed is life; Patience is victory

The "rock" ships might be a bit awkward, but there should be enough "metal" hull types to fill out an ePack.
(the Jindarians would be useful if the LMC ever gets added to the game, since they were important historically in helping to keep the Magellanic remnants alive during the long night of Andromedan occupation.) _________________ FC Omega Discussion (v3)

Recently purchased the electronic rulebook and I'm trying to get into the game. I noticed that some of the more interesting combat variants have yet to be done. Ones I would really like to see include:
Federation HDD from CL33
Federation DHD from CL33
Klingon E6 from R6
Medium DN's from R7
Heavy War Cruisers (CMs) from R12
I believe all of these ships also need minis... |

There's probably not a chance in Purgatory of this happening, but I'd like to see a Gorn "Strike BCH", similar in concept to the Strike Cruiser variant of the CM.
I'd also like to see a Federation Commander version of the old, old, old four-wing Gorn DN from Federation Space. |

Well, while we're on the subject of FS, how about a Klingon C9?
Also, I'd like to have access to a smaller scout vessel for the Lyran, like the SC listed under Destroyers in the F&E MSIT... |

Well, to a large extent, you already have the C9. Federation Commander uses the fully refitted ships, and the fully refitted C9 is a C8K, which is what is seen in Federation Commander. (Yes, there is a C9K, but most of them were later converted into C8Ks due to the better phaser arrangement.)
However, if you want to play with a C9 anyway, make the following changes to the C8:
- Remove a Ph-1 from the wing positions (so there is only one phaser per wing, instead of two).
- Replace each pair of Ph-3 at the waist with a single Ph-2. (This leaves a pair of Ph-2s at each waist position.
- Replace the forward two drone racks with cargo (leaving a total of four drone racks).
- Reduce the point value to 236 or so.
The above is all for squadron scale. Haven't thought about the fleet scale changes. _________________

Geez Louise there is a lot of 'history' behind these things.
You know what this game could really use? A book on the history of the Star Fleet Universe, including a year by year account of what the empires where up to and what ships were refitted or designed, etc. in a nice format similar to the 'World at War' by Mark Arnold-Forster. I loved that series on PBS back in the day.
Yep, yep. Nuts to new ships, I want 'The Galaxy at War...' |

Between the TIMELINE and the HISTORY OF THE GENERAL WAR which are both free downloads you pretty much already have that. _________________ The Guy Who Designed Fed Commander

Those are cool. Hadn't seen them before. But then the web site is pretty extensive with a ton of material on it, and I've only just started scratching the surface, mainly looking for very specific FC stuff.
Still, a more detailed "historian's" account would make for great reading and I'd love to see a timeline of ship conversions and the reasoning behind the changes.
I'm pretty sure it is unlikely to be written due to your schedule (and, let's be honest, you are the only one who could do it right) but definitely something I'd buy if it popped up in the next decade or so... |

If you haven't see it, this

makes finding stuff in the "pretty extensive website" far easier. _________________ The Guy Who Designed Fed Commander
