|
|
Steven Petrick wrote on the BBS: The file of Command Notes is depleted in the sense that most of the remaining notes are from just two or three authors. This means that submissions have a good chance of publication (if they are valid and cover new ground) as we try not to publish more than one paper per author in each issue. So if you have a tactic you have been sitting on, get it submitted and you have a good chance of seeing your name in print in Captain's Log #48. _________________ Business Manager/RPG Line Editor

Suppose it is an old know one but :
"The Shuttle Bonneteau : when a shuttle box is destroyed, fly in it another shuttle from a full box. This way you have one more shuttle hit avaliable before you start losing more valuable engine." |

Doesn't work that way.
When the shuttle box is destroyed... that represents the hanger bay itself being destroyed. You cannot land another shuttle there until the box itself is repaired. _________________ Commander, Battlegroup Murfreesboro

Also, as a general comment, contributors need to submit their tactics direct to Steve Petrick. _________________

No... I believe they can be submitted on the BBS as well.
Petrick pulls them from the BBS, too. _________________ Commander, Battlegroup Murfreesboro

Would a small easy set of campaign rules fit the bill? I'm putting together something light that would probably take 3 pages, maybe 4 with illustrations. |

That would be a different type of article, Maxwell. Command Notes are short, one- or two-paragraph notes describing a tactic or trick that you have discovered. Unless it's one of my Command Notes, which have been known to take up half a column on occasion _________________

Even so, none of yours even come close to approaching the length of some of the Term Paper submissions. Some are so long I literally lose track of what the actual point/tactic of the article is!
Stay away from something that long and convoluted, and you can keep your half-column Notes. _________________
