SVC notes: Presumably, Sandrine's fixes to the NCL also apply to the NCA

Moved phaser-3s to bottom of saucer.

Removed plates under phaser bubbles.

Will fix the shuttle bay and make it connect to the garage on the NCL.

Very nice! Sandrine is very talented.

Now to me the late GW ships can use some deviation of the clasic design to bring out that WOW factor that Mongoose is looking for. To wit, the small secondary hull and engine mount could be made larger, maybe even use that superstructure from the first draft of the CC on the bottom of the saucer and mount the third engine to that.

My comments are all over on the legacy bbs.

For the benefit of those folks here that aren't there, here's the picture I put together with my comment markups -

NCA Comments Markup Drawing

SVC has already replied and said the sensor dishes will be the way Mongoose feels they need to do them. Not a huge loss, as they are easy to cut off and replace, should the person choose to (and I likely will). I'm more concerned about features that are molded-in and hard to change.

Take 2.

SVC notes: It should be good to go except for the phaser-3s on the bottom of the saucer.

Now THAT's a beauty! (And the reason I'm back in SFB is because of this ship! Very Happy) Secondary hull is much better... it might stand to be a little beefier, but I think that's just fine. I still feel the sensor dish might be a little small... But That might be just fine as well! Very Happy

It's a beauty no matter how you slice her! Very Happy

The aft hull still looks under sized to me, but if that's it, okay fine. Let's do it.

Much better! I think after the Ph-3 gets fixed and maybe a few more panals tothe shuttle bay door that this is a keeper!

Tony, Will, anyone.... Very Happy

I'm all but finished painting my Starline 2500 NCA, but I wonder what the two raised circular details here on the aft bulkhead represent.

Are they Tractors? Sensors? Flush vents for ejecting Tribbles?

Likely the two drone racks.

Nope. Not the drone racks. Those are tucked up under the "wings" of the engine support "yoke".

For my minis, I'll be painting these little cylinders gray and calling them vents. The NCL has the same number of tractors and doesn't have these features.

In the Starline 2500 range of Federation miniatures, drone racks are raised squares with a circular divot in the exact center where the drone tube is.

These are most likely extra details added for appearance. On mine, they will be called vents and painted appropriately.

I painted them as nav lights, Red/Green. Just a thought. Smile
