Absolutely amazing! Cool Cool Cool Cool

Brilliant paint jobs and two VERY cool conversions, especially the CVS. And the fighters and shuttles are cool as well.

Great job, Kent!

Those Starline 2400 F-18s look fantastic with them!

Thanks Guys.
This was a fun project doing a carrier group.
The left over hull from the cruiser, when making the DDE, was chopped up to make the front of the CVS (hanger entry).

Yeah, the F-18 squadron really completes this group. I'm not sure if I'm done with the F-18's just yet. What surprised me was that the 2500 series shuttle seem to fit better, size wise, with the F-18's (just my personal opinion). I may use the 2400 series shuttles as multi-roles (and maybe mod to AWACS) and the 2500 series as regular shuttles.

Cheers,
Kent

I completely missed that you kitbashed the CVS front bay doors on. They look nice and have a clean blend.

Which sensor dish did you use? SL2500 frigate? (I can tell it's smaller than the stock one).

I used a 2400 series one, the kind you can order in groups of 5 or 6. The 2500 one that came with the CC looked a little big. I also used one on the DDE.

Extra "approach lights" decal up-front too. You do us proud, Mr. Ing.

Thanks Will. When I got the last bunch of decals I noticed the landing lights and that was one of the first things I thought of when doing this small mod...gotta make sure there is room for this decal.

Thanks Tony. Up on the queue will possible be some Klingons to counter this...I've got the D7V (I think that's what it's called, the D7 carrier) on order from Starfleetgames so it'll give me an idea of what it looks like for the mod.

Kent -

If you've seen the B-10 drawings in Captain's Log #6 (the "B-10 Briefing" issue), those can tell you a lot too. The D-7V has a similar "double-stack" deckhouse structure.

For kitbashing the D7V, some folks chose to move the entire deckhouse complex forward on the hull, to allow room for a balcony. Some others add the balcony as an extension, tagged onto the rear face of the rear hull.

Hi Will,

Awesome, thanks for the Captain's Log reference...I have that issue, time to dust that one off my bookshelf. I've already ordered the D7V from Amarillo Design Bureau earlier this morning, I can use that as another reference and it adds to my small collection of 2400 Series.
