Just picked up an IKS Gr'oth Klingon Battlecruiser Star Trek Attack Wing miniature and it's exactly the same length as a Star Trek Micromachine D7. It's a great looking miniature that would be awesome in a FedCom game.
I had a previous post asking about putting Micromachines on a 1" hex stand and I was wonder the same here with the Attack Wing minis.
Has anyone tried this yet? |

They come with their own pegs that attach to the ship, so it should not be all that hard to get that peg attached to the hex base somehow.
I am not sure how feasible though using Attack Wing for Federation Commander will be, especially if you are picky. For starters only two ships now correspond with SFU ships (The Constitution Class and D7). Attack Wing has a terrible sense of scale. Seriously, the Constitution class next to the D7 looks like a Frigate facing down a B10.
That being said, I did recently play a Monster scenario with my young son using the Attack Wing miniature in place of a counter on the larger hexes. |

I wonder if I could print a hexstand over on Shapeways.com that would accept the Attack Wing standpost. That would solve the problem. |
