Hello all! I'm pretty new to the FC Online scene, and I've been trying to get the target practice counter up on the map. Can anyone give me an idea of how to do this? |

What are you trying to use as a practice target?
You should be able to use anything. The only thing seems to be limitation at the moment is that you have to use "Authenticated Mode" at the moment.
Looks like at the moment, if you are online you are unable to target your own units.
Question: Normally, would you like to have your units on the list of targets? |

A long time ago I tried a similar thing to practice getting the hang of the online system, but was similarly frustrated.
Someone else posted a work-around to this, but it was awhile back and I have forgotten what it was. Could it be to open two browser windows, log in as 2 separate guests, and go at it like that? _________________ Mike

Sandpaper gets the job done, but makes for a lot of friction. |

Mike,
That would work. That is using two separate Demo accounts. |

Still trying to figure out how to make an invited second player an active participant before I put money down. |

When the second player comes into the room, they need to click on the "Observer Mode" menu and select "Switch to Player Mode". This will then prompt all of the current players whether to allow the Observer to become a player.
This is to stop an Observer to putting ships on the board. |
