What? No oCA old heavy cruiser mini in your queue?
[I "sculpted" that one]
The aft weapon mounts on my SaberHawk are some brass rod stock that I chucked into my Dremel and kind of "lathed" into the shape I wanted. Then they just got glued into holes drilled into the greenstuff extension I did to the mini. The SaberHawk dispenses with the SkyHawk's big option module in favor of an extended hull and the smaller DWH swappable unit, represented by some brass sheet on mine.
I enjoyed working on my Starline 2400 Gorns, particularly since it involved a *ton* of kitbash-like modifications to my old lead mulch-piece Starline 2200 versions. I wanted them all to have the handling toughness of their modern counterparts, so they all got their engines moved and pinned to the main hulls. I also did some weapon changes to things like the CM, to make it a CS, etc. Converting my old (small) lead DDs into FFs was also part of the job. _________________

no oCA for the my fleet (yet) but it will sneak its way in there. As for the Saberhawk... I really love the work you put into your. I was only working with what I had. The plasma torp ports on mine are the plasma ports off the firehawk nacelles. whats the green stuff your using to extend the hull? |

It's great stuff. Sticks to most things well, holds its shape and easy to manipulate into fine details, then cures rock hard (and can survive the heat and pressure of mold-making).
There are others (Milliput, Tamiya, Aves, etc.). They're all pretty nice things to have on-hand for repairs and reinforcing parts that are a bit weak. _________________

sounds like useful stuff. should be good for filling and fixing flaws in the minis too.
