Got my first order of shapeways FUD miniatures recently, there's a white film on some parts of the minis, I've already tried cleaning them off with some dish soap, but it hasn't removed the film.
Any tips or surefire methods for getting the minis prepared to be primed?
EDIT: Also, has anyone been using primer that has acetone in it? I've heard maybe not to use primer with acetone,, but my Krylon indoor/outdoor primer has been working well on other miniaures so far, but I guess I'm just a little worried because the shapeways minis are so nice I don't want to ruin them in the long term with the primer eating away at them a little bit. |

I use dish soap and a toothbrush to scrub off that film, works well enough. |

Same here. Pretty much all that is needed is to insure no waxy build up remains. _________________ Commander, Battlegroup Murfreesboro
