While I don't recall if there's an exact ground scale, the official minis are 15mm, and the squares are about 5/8", can hold no more than one character at a time, show a chair just fitting and so are probably around 1 to 1.5m.
The game is very much an RPG hybrid already. The Planet of Dr. Moreau is an RPG-style and RPG-Mode module.
There's a hobby wide general concession that a person in combat mode can "occupy" a 5' or 1.5m (~59"=4'11") square blocking others from being in it. |

I'm slightly embarrassed that my first post here is a bit of thread necromancy but ... has work on Star Fleet Universe/ Prime Directive: Battlestations! stopped?
I ask because a new edition of Battlestations has been out for a while and they've switched scales to 28mm. _________________ Cheers,
