Ok so the bids are in and the good news is that as long as I interperted everything correctly everyone got their first pick!
Here are the bids so everyone can double check me:
Dread_Lord:
- Kzinti 2000
- Klingon 2000
- Fed 2000
- Gorn 2000
- Rom 2000
Sweeper+SylvrDragon
- Klingon 1950
- Rom 1965
- Fed 1960
- Gorn 1970
- Kzinti 1975
Guzzoid + Mazza
- Rom 1999
- Kzinti 1999
- Fed 1950
- Gorn 1950
- Klingon 2000
Sir_Krotar
- Fed 1940
- Gorn 1940
- Rom 1940
- Kzinti 2000
- Klingon 2000
Which would mean that Sweeper+SylvrDragon get Klingon with 1950 points, Guzzoid + Mazza get the Romulans with 1999 points, Sir_Krotar gets the Feds with 1940 points, and I get the Kzinti with 2000 points.
Sound good to everyone?
Ok the next step is to pick fleets, and to approve rule changes. I will send out the rules to be considered in a little bit. So go ahead and send me your fleet choices when you get the chance. |

Oh and the other issue is that guzzoid asked to have a practice round or two. Does everyone else think this is something we should do?
If so then after the practice then fleets could be re-submitted.
I will go with popular vote on this one. |

I like the idea of a practice round too. And yay, Romulans! |

Works for me. It took a few tries to the hang of the way the campaign client worked last time and and I clean forgot how it worked. _________________ I'm wise enough to know that I don't know half as much as I think I know, you know? |

And I see that Dread Lord bought Defsats. I have modified copies the SFB defsat as does Sir_Krotar. If any one needs copies, let us know. _________________ I'm wise enough to know that I don't know half as much as I think I know, you know? |

Oh yes, I should have made sure everyone knew about your hard work. Sweeper was kind enough to put together a definition for Def Sats from Comm 24.
Mmmmm def sats....... |

Ok cool, it sounds like a majority would like a practice round. It should probably be two rounds, because the first round is usually pretty quiet (one tip from the first run at this campaign is not to hit the neutral planets with anything but overwhelming forces - basic Sun Tzu)
So don't worry too much about your force selection, because you can redo it if you would like after the practice |

After a good amount of thought, I've decided that I must bow out. The campain just won't fit into my schedule right now (other interests have captured my time), and if I force it, I'm afraid I'll end up being a wiener and bailing, ruining the game.
It's mainly the strategic part of the game that I can't squeeze in, but I could be a minor partner with someone, helping fight battles. Otherwise, I would also often be available to be a captain for hire.
Sorry guys.

Sir_Krotar: Well, I am sorry to hear that, but I do know how 'real life' can wreck havoc on one's gaming. You can certainly Captain a Kzinti Ship anytime you would like.
Ok, well we have a vacancy, so we can either go to three empires, or one of the teams with a pair of Captains could step into Sir_Krotar's shoes. Anyone want to fly Feds? |

If we go with 3 empires maybe we should do 2 vs 1 scenario. |

I am worried about over committing myself by saying this... I would probably prefer sharing an empire with guzzoid as planned, but if it is thought that we need four empires, we could probably play a separate one each? |

Keep in mind that I can help fight battles when time is tight. |

Mazza, I would say that it is probably best for you and guzzoid to stick together. So Sweeper or SylvrDragon would either of you like to split and run the fourth empire?
If you guys would prefer to stick together then perhaps doing a 2 on 1 would be best, although to tell the truth my preference would be to run four empires total |
