One letter?
The DD is just that... a DD with 4 photons and not enough power to arm them.
The DDE is the carrier escort version of the DD. Equipped with an Aegis system among other changes.
The DDM was the mid-years version of the DD (found in Briefing 2).
The DDL and DDG have a couple of changes. If someone doesn't beat me to the draw, I'll look up the SSD when I get home and give you the rundown. _________________ Commander, Battlegroup Murfreesboro

Wow. Our resident King of the Minis missed a beat. I think markgeorgetwo is asking what the differences are in the minis.
markgeorgetwo, if you search back on this board a bit, there was a picture posted of the masters for these.
In a nutshell: The various combination of metal Fed saucers are being combined with the new metal DD engine scoutdad sculpted and marketed as some of the various DD-flavors.
On the gameboard, any DD-variant can be represented by any mini just fine. The number of "weapon bumps", etc., rarely varies all that much. The one exception would be the DDF fast destroyer, which is one of the new ones coming out (a metal "spade-shaped" CF saucer and the new metal engine).
@Tony -
I don't have my SSDs handy either, but IIRC:
The DDG takes the DD, swaps in APR for some of the labs, adds a pair of phaser-3, and adds a Fed-style drone rack. There might be more changes I am forgetting.
The DDL swaps two of the four photons for a pair of plasma-F launchers, along with the other improvements made by the DDG. _________________

I would have thought he was asking about the minis, too... except for one small fact:
There is no mini for the DDE or the DDM.
The inclusion of these into the listing is what led me to believe his question was directeed towards differneces in the ships themselves, and not in the minis.
And you listed all of the changes I could recall re:
The Photon/Drone armed DDG
The Photon/Plasma-F armed DDL.
Here is the Destroyer Mini Thread for future reference. _________________ Commander, Battlegroup Murfreesboro

Ordering individual minis gets problematic in the UK.
You can certainly order them direct from us; just ask Leanna and she will sell you what ship you want.
Trying to order them through a UK store and Esdevium is possible, but not easy. Basically, you talk to Leanna first, make sure we have what you want , and get a stock number. Then Leanna emails Esdevium and tells them what we're all doing; this may take a few emails back and forth. Eventually, she gets it worked out and let's you know. Then go to your store, tell them to order them from Esdevium, and to include a note that Leanna has a special arrangement with Esdevium to provide those "special order items" so that Esdevium doesn't auto-reject the "non-existant stock numbers". We've done this two or three times, but most people find it's much less aggravating to just order the few special items direct from us. _________________ The Guy Who Designed Fed Commander

I thought he was talking about the miniatures, too.
If he is asking about the ships, then, for a basis, get the Fed DD ship card that is in Communique. I'll wait until you go get it ...
... got it? Good.
The ship card combines the DD, DDG, and DDL. The only real difference between the three on that card is that, in the heavy weapons position, the DD has four photons, the DDG has two photons and two drone racks, and the DDL has two photons and two Pl-F. Note that these are the "GW" versions, so they already have all of the "refits" applied. Also, this ship card is the "playtest" version, so it isn't perfect.
So, let's go through what you get in Booster 91:
DD - the base hull that started it all. Take the above ship card, use the "DD" version, delete the Ph-3 and drone rack, and convert the four reactor to lab. This is the base, unrefitted DD.
DDM - same idea as the DD, but this is an earlier version. Take the unrefitted DD, remove two photons (leaving two) and add two hull (for a total of twelve).
DDG - as the above ship card, but delete the third (non-photon related) drone rack.
DDL - as the above ship card, but delete the drone rack.
SC - take the above ship card and replace all four photons and the four side Ph-1s with special sensors (for a total of eight). It keeps the drone rack you deleted from the DDG and DDL.
Those are the destroyer variants you get. You could say I am spilling the beans, but if you want the cards, you are gonna want the laminated cards, so I figure it is safe to describe them.
There are also three other DD variants not in Booster 91.
DD - this is the GW version (the DD above is true FJD pre-GW version). As with the DDG/DDL, delete the extra drone rack. This version was not included in Booster 91 because of space issues, and because, by the GW, the DDG was the "standard" version of the DD.
DDF - the fast destroyer. You are just gonna have to wait for a Communique to see that, as it uses the "spade" shaped hull, and I forget exactly what gets deleted in the whole thing. The base change is that two photons are changed to two Ph-1s, and it gets three more warp boxes. But there are a couple other changes I forget.
DE - the escort destroyer. There are lots of changes, and it isn't as easy to describe. It is truly a BoM ship. _________________

I'm actually really looking forward to the DDF that's coming in Communique.
As it was presented in Captains Log for SFB it was a pre-GW type ship, so no extra phaser-3, drone rack, etc. Sometimes when ships get ported over to FedCom, interesting little things happen, so I'm waiting to see if the DDF that comes into FC will be a GW-refitted version (in which case, FC gets a treat that isn't in SFB yet).
Besides, the ship card I made of the DDF to go with my kitbashed mini is kinda lame. _________________
