Certain Hydran hellbore ships can waggle too, for example the Dragoon. That's not nice either
DNordeen, thanks for an excellent tactical article - well worth reading! _________________

Thx for the kind words Kang. I've been "offline" for awhile here in the sandbox. But I'm finally getting some time on the net.
I also don't like the later Kzin ships that lose the L & R firing arcs for their disruptors. Of course, back in SFB, the older Kzin ships didn't have FA arcs for their disruptors (they were L/LF & R/RF), so being able to fire all your disruptors in FA was an improvement over that. _________________ Speed is life; Patience is victory

So....don't abandon your drones to their fate. Always lurk close enough to dish out direct fire after the enemy vessel burns up phaser banks for the turn and try to time drone arrival near the beginning of a turn when the enemy will need to wait longer for those phasers to recycle. |
That's good advice! Nothing sucks more than having to burn the phasers early in a long turn and having little or nothing left in the tank to deal with whatever is thrown at you during the turn. Particularly if you have another wave of drones ready to go within a range they'll have to deal with THAT turn! True, they can use tractors and such, but then that eats up power that could have gone to shield reinforcement. _________________ My other car is a D7 BattleCruiser. |
