A question about the Mauler rules in Communique 18. Specifically, about the "tending" left or right (4Z4). A ship that is "tending" one direction can only turn or sideslip in that one direction. "Tending" can be changed at any Offensive Direct-Fire Phase (with or without firing the mauler). The last sentence is what confuses me. It says "After any turn (or high energy turn) the ship can be reset to “C” (center, straight ahead) if the owner chooses." Does this mean, for example, that if I am "tending left", and then turn left, I can immediately then say I am "tending center" (during the movement phase)? And then I can choose to "tend right" at the next Offensive Direct-Fire Phase?

Thanks,

Garrett

Yes - that is the way i read the rule in question.
After a turn, you can adjust the "tending" to center and then switch to either "right" or "left" during teh next offensive fire phase.
