My latest poor effort, HMS Renown. I've been waiting for one of these for years...

Great job there, Dan. I like the use of the highlighting on the finer details.

Next question: What color did you use as a base coat? I've never seen a Hydran with that shade before. _________________ Commander, Battlegroup Murfreesboro

				Thanks!

The base colour is made by Miniature Paints, and is simply called 'Blue-Grey'. I used to use Humbrol enamels' NATO Petroleum Blue, but I've moved pretty much entirely to acrylics now.

I use the same colour, mixed with about 30% white, as a base coat for my Klingons, as with C5 IKV Admiral Kurlt...

Very nice. The lines on the Overlord are incredible. How did you get them that straight and consistent? _________________ O.G. OPTIMUS

They're done by hand...very carefully! I've been painting SFB minis since the early '80's with varying levels of success. |
