|

So I recently completed most of my gameroom construction. We have a loft upstairs in my house which until recently was a family room. However the kids are growing up and retreating to thier own rooms, watching TV downstairs or outside with friends. My wife no longer needed her desk up there, and the other parafanlia was unused so I put in a request to take the room over entirely.
The request was approved
So I spent several weekends, and some spare cash to get it set up for our Fedcom game nights as well as a art studio for myself for doing CGI, paintings, and Minis> My freinds pitched in with the contruction of the game board, and the huge wall size weapons chart (which coincidentally has every chart in fedcom on it).
Here is the construction of the game board:

Wow.
I wish I lived near you!
That looks like a really great space and you've certainly tricked it out nicely for the game.
Nice job on that Fed CA too, by the way. _________________

I can fit 10 in there comfortably, and there is a table for pizza and beer
The computer also acts as the music system. I can play all my music there in 7.1 surround. Great for gaming, or doing some other creative endevors.
what would be cool is to see other peoples game rooms, or game venues. _________________ http://www.rickknox3d.com |

So. That's me with the drill in hand. This challenge was fun and frustrating as all projects can be. A few more layers of lacquer and we should have it perfected. |

I'd love to have a game room like that. Trouble is I need a room to do it in. At the monent I'm renting a single-bedroom flat... |

Yeah... we were frequently scrambling to find the right card for the tables we needed and thought it would be nice to be able to just look up and see them. I designed the poster in OpenOffice and exported it to PDF. We were going to have it printed by Kinkos or somewhere like that (with prices quoted between $30 to upwards of $60 depending on mounting) but found a friend at an architectural firm with access to a plotter and ended up getting it printed for free. I'd like to see ADB consider productizing something like it (they're welcome to my document but would probably prefer to produce their own) -- but if they don't want to, if anyone wants the PDF I can ask if ADB would object to me providing it upon request.
Rick has really gone all out to make this a great gaming experience -- we're having fun with it and usually having six or more players at each game night (2-3 times per month). |

Ask and ye shall receive.
The back cover of FC : Orion Attack is going to be a master chart will all ofthe wepons charts on it. Also, one of the inserts will be a full color Master Reference Chart with all of the charts produced to date for Fed Com on it.
It's not poster sized... but I suppose you could scan it and enlarge it... or if enough of us asked, we might could get a poster sized copy made available through Cafe' Press!!! _________________ Commander, Battlegroup Murfreesboro

Well, since we're posting pictures of our play-spaces...
I use my dining room area for game nights. Our house is on the small size, so the room isn't very big, and my wife and were still using our smallish dining room table from our apartment days (it's maybe 3x5 feet, at the most).
This is me and a bunch of my friends playing FedCom on my birthday last month. Table. Way. Too. Small.
Usually, I only have 2-3 people over, but I'm hoping for more and this just wasn't going to work.
My wife found us a great bargain on a huge table at an estate-sale, so we jumped on the deal and bought it.
It's nothing compared to the custom table that pneumonic81 and his crew are playing on, but it's better than what I was using. _________________
