Is the main difference between the BS and the BATS the weapons fit, or are there modules, etc.? |

The Battlestation and Base Station are similar in general arrangement.
The mini for the Base Station is smooth and essentially as-drawn in the picture up-thread (it's a one-piece recast of the old multi-piece SL2200 Bats).
The modern (SL2400) mini for the Battlestation has much added hull-plate detail, etc, and is a bit larger overall.
In game terms, the Battlestation is quite a bit larger than the Base Station and considerably tougher and more capable in a fight. _________________

The BATS is certainly much more capable of defending itself, but I suppose that is probably the point of them! They are quite a formidable unit, especially when compared to the BS (which itself has a decent Ph-4 fit and so is still at least a little bit scary). |

Great drawing.
Some nits:
The details sticking out on the upper-bulb in you drawing are actually cooling grids and a shuttle-bay door (IIRC) on the upper surface of the main hull on the minis (and the painting diagram). On those two are rectangular and one is very triangular. _________________

Very nice. If you had more views, perhaps of angles with the small non-symmetric details that would be even more awesome! _________________ O.G. OPTIMUS

Just to say these are really neat drawings; probably the best I've ever seen (other than the original Franz-Joseph diagrams)! Thanks for posting them! _________________ Marv (Finarvyn)

Nope, just a joke name that I had with an earlier version of the drawing.
Not sure if I'm going to bother with another view of this one, since it's largely 'flipped' of the view that's already in place. (The only exception is some of the details on the main hub). If I can get another chance, I might knock it out, though. |

Bumping this thread to note that the pods, Constitution, Saladin, Hermes, and Ptolemy classes have had their artwork updated.
Edit: Also got done with the Federation class today. |
