Yes, it works there. But when I went to the link I mentioned, THAT link was still pointing to Comm 65.
At that time. No longer. It's all good.
Peace. |

I like the ship graphics for the ship cards of the latest Communique. Have any color versions been done like that? _________________ Mike

Every non-color Ship Card in a communique starts as color and is then converted to B&W. The color versions will go into future products or future ePacks. _________________ The Guy Who Designed Fed Commander

The new DNW is awesome. Surprised it doesn't have double drone control being a capital ship and having all those drones though. _________________ "His pattern indicates two-dimensional thinking."

The SFB ship doesnt either.
Besides, it only has five drone racks. Usually for double-control in SFB, the ship must have at least six racks. In FC, the requirements are stiffer. _________________

As an aside, note that the DNW has a Turn Mode of E versus the D of the DNG. So, while the DNW is pretty cool (I like it), it does have some weaknesses versus the DNG. Regardless, I'll be lining up at the trough when the color version is published as either a laminated card or an e23 high-resolution color pdf card. _________________ Jim Dauphinais, Chesterfield, MO

Only five racks. I see. Don't have the SSD. Thanks. _________________ "His pattern indicates two-dimensional thinking."

Comm 78 has been posted, but Jean is not at her desk.
The Seltorian BBL is 135/270 point value. I must have lost the note from Petrick and never updated the file. Joel will upload a replacement file Tuesday night. _________________ The Guy Who Designed Fed Commander

The next communique will be very different, a new format. It will have more pictures, better organization, and be easier for us to do.
It will have only one ship and one scenario; we just could not continue doing four ships per issue as it cost the company too much to prepare. (The original plan for Communique was for a subscription service, but we instead did it for free. The workload steadily climbed to the point it was literally costing the company an entire new product to do eacy year of communique. That was just not sustainable.)
We moved the news around, putting the "news" first and the "stuff that never changed and just gets repeated" on reference pages. _________________ The Guy Who Designed Fed Commander

Thanks for the compliment, Mike I would point out one slight error that appears to have crept into the scenario, though, in the bit about 'Effects of star glare' - a seeking weapon will miss its target if it impacts its target from direction E or F, not B or C. The idea is of course that the weapon cannot 'see' its target against the star's glare.
There was one other change, which I appreciate may be for play balance purposes - for the setup, I'd originally said that the F5W sets up "... in any hex within 3 hexes (but not in the same hex) of the Federation ship in direction B through C". It now reads "...in any hex NOT within 3 hexes..."
This may be a deliberate change by the publishers for play balance purposes as I said, but we found during playtesting that the F5W needs to be pretty close to deliver a decent thump on the CA. As things were, we found that the CA was able to make a pretty good comeback against the F5W, and still put up a stiff fight, even after a close-in strike from 1 hex away with phasers and o/l disruptors.
But we did find this scenario to be a real change, with some interestingly different terrain, and really exciting to play. I hope you all enjoy it! _________________
