There is a middle years topic where briefing #2 has been discussed. _________________ The Guy Who Designed Fed Commander

The Briefings appear to be a line of books produced for Federation Commander, similar perhaps to SFB's "Captain's Log" series but focused solely on FC. They're low cost books with B&W SSDs, new scenarios, tactics and so forth. The first of the series is already out: http://store.starfleetstore.com/merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=S&Product_Code=4021&Category_Code=02. The next of the series, Briefing#2 will focus on the Middle Years as SVC says above. |

I think saying that the "Briefings" sieries of books is like a Captians Log maybe over stating them, Right now they seem to be used as a vehical to get more Scenarios, Critical Rule Updates, And Some New Ships Cards (Albit B&W) into Print. Now who knows much like Cpatians Log did maybe it will evolve over time.
And as was pointed out the next one is going to focus on the "setting" just before the main setting of FC. It seems MJW want to avoid using terms like time line because there are no time lines in FC. But, a product like the Breifings can be used to show what a alternate (historical) setting might look like. _________________ -Dal

This isn't the place to discuss it, but I plan to do a lot with briefings. There will be a briefings in 2009 for middle years, for support ships, and more.
We will also have very similar borders of madness books (which may or may not have counters) in 2009. _________________ The Guy Who Designed Fed Commander
