He tells me that they're in the mail to ADB and that they should be castable. We shall see what happens when they're put into a mold.

SVC said he received them in the mail today.

I did 5 so that there was an option to do an Omega Cruiser Box set, like Cruiser Boxes 1 & 2.

Step back, because I enlarged the pictures

Hope you enjoy.

It looks like that ISC BB was essentially sculpted from scratch. Holy cow that's cool John! Really nicely done. Keeping that beast symmetrical must've been a chore.

Are those two destined to be masters, or are they just for fun?

Thanks for the kind words Very Happy

They are for making masters. Barring any complications they should go into the mail tomorrow.

Deep inside the ISC BB is an ISC DN. I cut/widened/pinned it on both sides between the center and outer booms. I beefed up all of the booms and generally tried to make it bulked up all around. Mostly it was trying to keep it sysmetrical that taxed me the most. Especially as I have found that many of the original minis that I convert from are not sysmetrical themselves (at least once I get out the calipers to measure, LOL). Glad you like it Smile

Nice work John, I can't wait to get my hands on an ISC BB Very Happy .

Djdood, are you currently working on anything? I know a while back you said that you are going to convert some Klingons. Check out SWO Daddy's website for some inspiration if you haven't done so already (D-8 ).

He also has a FD-7 like John's and some Seltorians.

Family crisis kept me from doing any minis work for the last several months, but I did just get going again last week. I have several old lead SL2200 Klingon D-7's in work, in and amongst a boat-load of other SFU minis (my first Lyrans and Hydrans, a rebuild on all my Kzintis, repairs on some Feds) and some D&D figures..

One I have chopped the boom on one D-7, and will be pinning that back together as an SD7 Strike Cruiser.

Another will indeed be kit-bashed as an FD7, following John's excellent web-article. I just found the second dreadnought engine I needed last night (donated from an eBay hulk - no K9R for the Romulans yet...).

The other two will be standard builds (excepting my usual engine pinning and putty strengthening). One is definitely going to become an K7R for the Rommies, the other will either become another D-7 for the Klinks or get diverted to conversion to a carrier.

I'll post some pics, once there is something to show.

The package looks like this.

If you cut them just right you can place them in hex stands with no glue and also have them to lay flat on the board.

But, laid flat - you can have a Three-Tiered Wedding Cake around your Tholian base.

malleman - Is that an SL2200 D-7?

If so, you and I are on the same plan. I use SL2200 D-7's (I just prefer them) for D-7's and SL2400 D-7's as D-6's/KR's.

Djdood,

It is a Gamescience K-Type. I got it from Mr. Louis Zocchi at the convention. It is all one piece and the engines are on both sides. I know it is realated to the SL 2200 D-7, but I am not sure of the exact history.
