I recently won a large lot of minis on ebay and I have two questions.
If the mini has SVC's initials on it, does that mean he sculpted it or that it is his design by copyright? I realize he owns the whole line but some minis dont have his initials.
How far back does the mini line go? Part of my lot included 5 Klingon E4s. Cute little ships. The date on them is 1979. |

The Plastic Feds, K-Class (Early D-7) and R-Class Romulan (Warbird/WarEagle) go back into the mid-70s, from the Star Fleet Battle Manual by Gamescience and Lou Zocchi.
Don't recall SVC having E4s, so what you would have there are early F5s, they were upsized just a few years ago and the older ones designated as E4s --- |

Star Fleet Battles - the Designers edition was released in 1979, IIRC - so that's about the time frame you'd be looking at.
As Bolo said, Gamescience released some minis for the Star FLeet Battle Manual in the mid-70's (although he forgot about the T-class [Tholian PC] ship), so the first SFB minis made would have been the missing Klingons - F5, C8, T7, etc. _________________ Commander, Battlegroup Murfreesboro
