If during the Direct Fire phase a Phaser destroys the opponents Drone, can the drone still fire during the launch seeking weapons phase, as if both are happening simultaneously even thogh they are on different steps? Or, if the drone box is destroyed in the Direct Fire phase, is it simply dead?
Thanks. |

Until mj or scoutdad come along, I would say the drone is dead as the two weapons fire during different phases.
If you and your opponent were both firing direct fire weapons then I would say both can fire due to the simultaneous firing. |

The drone is unavailable.
Boxes that are disabled by seeking weapons in the Defensive Fire phase are unavailable in Offensive Fire phase. Boxes that are disabled by direct fire in the Offensive Fire phase are unavailable in the Other Functions or Launch phases.
As wedge correctly points out, each phase is resolved individually. _________________

I thought Plasma torps survive direct fire and can still be fired. |

Thank you all. I got confused as I remember some rule that is an exception to this, or not. I may just be crazy.
Thanks |

The plasma torp is a special case.
The launcher itself is destroyed, but the energy paid to create the Plasma Warhead still has formed a charge in the firing chamber...If it has been fully armed, it can still be launched in the launch phase... but no additional energy can be added. _________________ Commander, Battlegroup Murfreesboro
