I think that the FC rules will make you love andros and wish that they had been the SFB rules to start with (kind of like the ESG rules). _________________ The Guy Who Designed Fed Commander

Yes, FC has a habit of improving on the SFB rules I, for one, welcome our new Andromedan masters. _________________ "Captain" Terry O'Carroll, fourteen papers published including six best of issue

I intend to feed the Andros plenty of fresh plasma when they arrive. _________________

I am awaiting War and Peace with bated breath. I learned to love the Andros in SFB before I stopped playing and I liked the ISC a lot as well and so far what I have seen of there rules I like the PPD better in FC. Any hints yet as to what ships will be in War and Peace or at least the number of ships for each race? |

Let's not start that whole thing again.
The short version is that the ISC will likely get six cards. The Andromedans will get five or six, and the Vudar will get four or five. The grand total of cards will be sixteen, but one may be a monster.
The ship mix for the ISC and Vudar will likely be very standard (e.g. DN, CA, CL, DD, FF). The Andromedans will force more difficult choices.
But lets not beat that to death yet. There is still much time before that all gets hashed out. _________________

Plus the six bonus cards in the boosters, for a total of 22.
Right now, the only things I can say for sure are
ISC CC, CA, CL, CS, DD, FF
Vudar CA, CL, DW
Because that's all the cards that have been done. _________________ The Guy Who Designed Fed Commander

I actually had no problems with the SFB ESG rules. I think they suited SFB well. but then, this is FC, and what I have seen so far, I like the ESG rules for FC as well.
As far as Andros are concerned, I Always liked the history and the background for them. A Strange malevolent and mysterious race of invaders.
I just never liked the way they were used by players. They were sort of OP in SFB. I think there semi OP nature made them a great scenario "Monster race". But a terrible Skirmish race.
And most of what I do are skirmishes.
But if you say the new andros will work, then I believe you. After all, If I had no faith in your work I would not have been playing your games for the past 25 years. _________________ "Training errors are recorded on paper. Tactical errors are etched in stone." -Erwin Rommel |

One thing that might be worth noting, for those who have Briefing #2, is that the Vudar CL is one of their middle years ship designs. (The 'refitted' version is the CW.)
So, wherever the CL is eventually published, it should be suitable for use against ships from the B2 era.
Also, I still hope that we can get the Peacemaker and Devastator as double-size Ship Cards in W&P! _________________ FC Omega Discussion (v3)

Steve probably meant CW rather than CL. There just isn't room to mess with "old" designs. All of the ship cards will be appropriate for the General War setting. _________________

I'm delighted to hear that the Andros have made it into W&P (almost makes up for Obama cancelling Constellation. Almost).
Any more teasers on their FC rules? _________________ We are Hydrans! NO ONE LIKES US! |
