2571,the klingon invasion of the federation the rebel kzinti attack. this one is between my second in command & the federation second in command this involved a group of rebel kzinti the force involves 12 frigates, 1x dn,3x medium cruisers,6x light cruisers plus support ships.

This game was played over eight turns and i was the second umpire the 1st turn involved a lot of movement the federation force was a weakned force the rest was sent to counter my invasion force and not here so the fed force was led by the command cruiser kongo, & two heavy cruisers the ari & the tori 3x destroyers,6x frigates & 6x old cruisers+3 police cutters. during this turn the kzinti launched a huge volley of drones the feds did evasive moves but some homed in on the kongo anti drones and a couple of phaser shots took care of a couple but the rest hit 2 hitting his number 2 sheild 1 causing burn through the same with the number 3 sheild the damage caused serious damage also the ari was hit and damaged but one of the destroyers was hit and blew up due to the heavy damage. the federation return fire took out two kzinti frigates the fed player decided to move his command cruiser out of the way with the ari and 2x old cruisers and two destroyers and a couple of frigates these formed a screen around the damaged cc so it could carry out repairs.

Turns2to4 both sides did not want to engage each during turn 5 some of the kzinti broke away the dn,the cc, 3 medium cruisers and 3 light cruisers went after the federation ships the other kzinti including 3light cruisers and eight frigates started towards the table edge the goal during this move one kzinti frigate is destroyed and 2 light cruisers damaged but the feds lost one police cutter,two frigates and one old cruiser.

Turn6 the fed command cruiser was hit yet again and the ari four times during this turn the fed commander started to withdraw with the ari and with two destroyers. this us umpires agreed with this but the points went to the kzinti player.2 more frigates and two old cruisers fell to the kzinti the remaining ones warped away off the table.

Turn7 begain now with the kzinti ships bearing down on the remaining fed ca the tori which hit the kzinti dn with photons causing damage this cruiser along with three old cruisers and two police cutters next the ca left followed by two old cruisers and the police cutters leaving one crippled old cruiser the table.

Turn8 the kzinti ships reached the edge of the table the rest joined them and the kzinti was declared the winners has they had reached the objective destroyed or crippled more than the federation and its put this in the minds of the federation was they kzinti or klingon?.

Sounds like it was a heck of a battle markgeorgetwo.

Last I was able to play (a few weeks back) we had the Federation going up against the Romulans. We fought to pretty much a stalemate (in the time allowed), with the Romulans doing a lot of cloaking and running, only to pop out long enough to zing a few plasmas at the Federnation. Fun game.
