|
|
Dear Friends,
Would it be legally problematic if one were to organize a public (ergo wargame / sci-fi convention) Starmada Game using ships from the SFU universe and fan-made ships (ie SW, BSG) from other universes ?
Cheers,

Can't address legal issues --
But for gamers, it couldn't be considered official ---
Convention or Game company wouldn't provide support or prizes --- |

Not sure about Strmada, but Ad Astra Games publsihes "Squadron Strike". This is a #D movement based space combat game wit the capability for hte players to design there on ships (and these can be based on any Sci-Fi mileiu out there).
Two yars ago at Origins, they ran a scenario with Klingons, Tholians, Romulans, and Federtion ships attacking a Cylon Battlestar...
Last year at Origins, they did Boneheads vs. Boneheads - a Klingon versus Minbari scenario.
As Bolo said: They certainly aren't going to be condoned by ADB, or Mongoose, or anyone else and there will not be any official Prize Support - but they can be fun games in their own right. _________________ Commander, Battlegroup Murfreesboro
