Anybody who has a square or a page on the wall of honor can ask me to whip up a sig for them. I can do it pretty quick from the existing art. _________________ The Guy Who Designed Fed Commander

markgeorgetwo (and anyone else in his situation), you should probably email SVC with the information, including your real name, the name of your scenario, and where it appeared. Please do not PM him as this does Bad Things to his computer and makes him sort of cranky. (You'd probably be sort of cranky, too, if your computer crashed!)
SVC will add it to his "Customer Service Wednesday pile" and work on those requests. It may take a while as he's trying to add the old ones that got missed first. _________________ Business Manager/RPG Line Editor

Just a quick question: What are the requirements for the Origins, Gencon and Terrorworks ribbons? |

Not sure about the Gencon ribbon, but the Origins ribbon is earned when you perform "Gamemaster" duties, or other ADB jobs at Origins. This can be anything from helping setup and run F&E games, judging the SFB tournament, judging the FC tournatent, running the booth, or even running a campain to "save starships from a fate worse than death".
The Terrorwerks ribbon is participating in the LARP that the company of this name runs. In my case, all I had to do was pay my money for the game and kill pirates. Not hard. Others had more complicated things to do, but me, I was just a grunt and behaved like one. _________________ Mike Curtis, FEAR, Copyright 2014 ADB, Inc.

Origins: Worked for ADB as a GM or in the booth.
Gencon: Work for ADB as a GM or in the booth if ADB is there; work for Jeff Laikind of whoever runs the events (if any are run).
Terrorwerks: You go on a mission with Steve Petrick and/or Steve Cole. Just going sometime won't count. You have to go as part of the official ADB combat team. Last year, six people went (Cole, Petrick, Stec, Curtis, Watanabe, and Doyle). And if you go on that team, you follow Petrick's orders precisely, immediately, and without question. If he puts you somewhere and says "shoot anybody coming through that door" then don't go wandering off. _________________ The Guy Who Designed Fed Commander

Obviously, since I have the award, I did exactly what Petrick said. Even when he said "Get off the ship, now! Leave me." I did. Some didn't like that I followed Petrick's orders exactly, but she will get over it... _________________ Mike Curtis, FEAR, Copyright 2014 ADB, Inc.

Hi. I tried to put up my sig picture, but being as it was very large when I got it from the Wall of Honor, it shows up as rather large:
How do I go about reducing it in size to something manageable? |

The image for your signature here is something you have to prepare yourself and host someplace like Photobucket (as recommended up-thread).
Most folks take their wall of honor "plaque" image and crop and re-size it in image editing software like Photoshop, GIMP, or Paint. Some of the image hosting sites have basic image-editing capabilities built-in. _________________

There are no guidelines here. Elsewhere, it's generally considered good form to have your "sig line" image be wide, rather than tall, and the minimum height possible, while still being legible.
The intent being to reduce the amount folks have to scroll (especially when lots of people have them). If everyone has giant 300 pixel tall sig-line images, then the actual post content text starts to get lost.
Personally, I try to limit mine to less than 100pixels tall. My current one is 90 tall, a little over 600 wide, and cropped tight to the art. _________________

Just a comment that the OP should maybe get edited. Thinking that step 3 should have photobucket struck out and imgur added.
Back when this was originally posted, Photobucket was the best for hosting your forum pics, but now... |
