Well, FC0001 is "in the books" as they say.
I'm getting prepared to play in a new game versus pinecone... but,
I had so much fun moderating this game - I'm looking forward to the next one.
If anyone is interested in trying FC pbem, I'm willing to moderate another game.
Just sound off here. _________________ Commander, Battlegroup Murfreesboro

I'm intrigued to find out how it works, so count me in. I always thought it seemed a naff idea to be honest, but maybe I was jumping to conclusions to quickly. |

I would assume that leaves us to decide on what sort of game.
If you are newish are there any empires you would struggle with due to not having the products?
Any preference for scale, ship numbers etc? |

It's game on then...
Looks as if it's 'elf v. burchenal
I received the particulars via a PM, but it'll be:
A squadron scale match-up
Burchenal will be flying a Fed CA & FF
Storeylf will be flying a Klingon (ADB officially disapproves of the purjorative term "Klink") D7, F5
The battle will be fought on a fixed map... 42 x 30 hexes in size.
Tomorrow is my day with my wife, so I will not be able to set things up in a timely manner, but I will have the game ready to go (i.e., Sit Rep, ship cards, and map) by Monday evening.
I'm goign out on a limb and assuming that the game between pinecone adn I will be given number FC0002 - so I'll advance further along that limb and assume this one will be FC0003, so that's how we'll refer to it.

I wouldn't mind another game. I think I have one coming up between me and the winner of the scoutdad/pinecone match? But even another would be fun. _________________ "Captain" Terry O'Carroll, fourteen papers published including six best of issue

Terry,
I've never played PBEM before, but I'd like to give it a try. If you're interested, I'd like to play you. |

not sure how well it'd work out, but give me a week to get the Federation v. Klingon game situated and I'll try moderating a second game between Terry and mojo. _________________ Commander, Battlegroup Murfreesboro

Well, when another slot opens up, I might be interested in playing one as well. As for which empire? I'll just say that Wynning isn't everything...
Okay, that was pretty bad. But it does sound like a scenario title for the War of Return (that *is* the name of the Usurper's attempt, right?) |

Alex, bad pun award (and booth time) go to you tonight.
Booth setting: 3 Dog Night sings "Barbra's Favorite Broadway Hits" alternating with Lawrence Welk (on accordion) playing (and singing) Jethro Tull. We won't discuss what Roseanne is doing as Pinecone is far too young to have his tender mind warped by such imagery ....

I'm moderating a game, but would not mind playing in another, if a moderator and someone wants to play. _________________ "I could have been an adventurer like you, but I took an arrow to the knee." |
