Good indication of different tactics and mind sets. This should be a blast! _________________ Mars needs women |

scoutdad, if you could pair me and Matt up only in the final match, that would be great. |

then you'd each better win the first three rounds...
I've currently got it set up as a four round, single elimination tree - but I may shift it and randomly pair the winners from each round rather than advance along a pre-determined tree.
Thoughts? _________________ Commander, Battlegroup Murfreesboro

I like the random idea over the pre-set tree. If I have to eliminate Matt earlier than the final, oh well. |

Here's the initial tree, showing your opponent.
Once every one has submitted ships, I'll update this tree to include those as well.
Now I need a vote:
Do we run the tree as is?
Or do we randomly pair the winners from each round for the following round to prevent knowing who may or may not be in the finals?
For example, as Mike and I are in different round one matches, if we continue to win we will eventually face each other, but it's impossible to meet each other for the final as we are on the same side of the tree.

Tony,
Ship selection e-mailed to you this evening.
As for the pairings, everyone is new to me so, I have no preferences.

Okay, I am dying to know what everyone is flying. This is worse than Christmas night. How many are we waiting on? _________________ Mars needs women |

Waiting on six now. Ten are in. Funny, but at eight - we had no duplications. Each of the last two to submit were duplicates of a previous entry.
I have sent emails or PMs to the hold-outs asking them to at least submit ships so we can open our presents. _________________ Commander, Battlegroup Murfreesboro

Maybe a new rule should be slipped in:
Rule 69: The last player to submit his ship selection starts the game with 10 points of internal damage applied as a single volley.
One additional 10 piont volley will be added for each day he delays...

Ouch, that is harsh. How about last player to submit provides something in the form of a trophy for the overall winner? _________________ Mars needs women |
