Are there any plans to produce a detailed timeline for FC similar to the one for SFB? I think there are enough differences between the universes that a separate timeline would be entertaining and useful. |

I was under the impression that FC was deliberately avoiding detailed timelines, and was no more than mid years, main period.

Do you mean for ship evolution, or for historical events.
For ship evolution, there is no timeline; only "eras" or "settings". So, you have Early Years, Middle Years, and General War (i.e. the main setting). That is a detailed as the ship evolution gets.
For historical events, the SFB timeline is the FC timeline. Just take the "Y" year and add 2400 to it. That gives you the FC year time. But the timeline is identical. _________________

The historical timeline can't possibly be the same. The widescale use of battleships plus the lack of carriers, among other things, should result in huge differences in the timeline. |

It is the same time line, it just does not have the same level of detail in regard to the introduction of ships. As Mike said, there are only three eras of ships, such that, for example, DNHs are available through out the Main Setting (i.e., General War) and all refits are in place. Carriers may or may not exist -- we don't know yet (outside of Borders of Madness). That has not yet been determined. So, yes, there are differences in the ship development in the history, but otherwise it is the same. _________________ Jim Dauphinais, Chesterfield, MO

The timeline is the same, exactly the same. Details of things like carriers and battleships don't appear on the timeline (not much anyway). _________________ The Guy Who Designed Fed Commander
