Not applicable in this game (Fed vs Andros), but may be handy to remember in later battles as forces are combined. _________________ Commander, Battlegroup Murfreesboro

Turn #2 of this game is also getting interesting. A full update will have to wait for the Turn 2, impulse 4 break; but here's where the units currently are:

Decided not to wait until the Impulse #4 break as both ships have fired most of their weaponry:
Here's where the ships are at:
Here's the SitRep (Situation Report) for Impulse 2 and 3 of Turn #2:

Just sent my impulse 5-8 in. Definately getting interesting now.
So far the turn has not gone as anticipated.
From what I can gather a comms error (SOP not filled out as desired at the Fed end) resulted in the NCA not being where I expected, to my benefit. However, another comms error (re-attaching an old SOP at the andro end) resulted in a failure to aim at power when it would have really hurt. |

That's been the most interesting aspect of FC PBEM (at least to me) so far. The extra level of... umm, err, something! in the orders/movement process.
In a face to face game, it's easy. You see the opponent move, you respond. In PBEM - you have to anticipate what he's doing and then issue orders to a sub-ordinate that are clear enough to understand, but detailed enough to accomplish your goals.
It can be quite like the fog of war from time to time. And that extra little bit of uncertainty in how your orders will be carried out only provides another challenge. _________________ Commander, Battlegroup Murfreesboro

On the other hand in face-face it is more likely you can pull of certain tactics as the pace doesn't really allow so much analysis of what will likely happen if x, y or z, more likely you foresee x and y but miss z in a faster paced face to face game. |

Real life situation at work improving, so we're back up and running.
Both players accelerated during Impulse #1 of Turn #3.
Currently awaiting rebid orders prior to processing movement.
Updates to follow soon. _________________ Commander, Battlegroup Murfreesboro

Unfortunately, Matt's real life situation has suddenly become more complicated and he has conceded the match to Lee.
Lee will be moving onwards to Round Two. _________________ Commander, Battlegroup Murfreesboro
