Does it cost energy to recover an Andromedan satellite ship? 5V1b2 is a little unclear. It says that launching or recovering requires more power than simply transporting marines, however it seems to only state explicitly that launching costs energy. Also, would the energy costs be halved in fleet scale? |

While it does not explicitly say that recovering a satellite ship costs the same as launching it one would have to assume it does. Thus by (5V1b2) 'Launching a small satellite ship costs three points of power; a medium one costs four points of power; and a large one six points of power.' The begining of that last sentence should probably begin with 'Launching or recovering a small......' |

(Sorry for missing this all this time!)
The energy requirement is for both launching and recovering. Both operations cost power.
The actual energy required is the same for both scales. This probably should not be the case, but that is what the rules currently say. (I am asking about it.)
EDIT: The power requirements are indeed half in fleet scale. _________________
