It definitely feels too big, after watching the Tholian Web episode again. Unless the ships there weren't PCs, it doesn't match.

I agree that it seems quite large in comparison to previous incarnations.

I recall that the fins of Tholian PCs were not uniform in thickness, but expanded slightly as they extended from the main hull. Is it possible to reflect this here, or is there a production reason why that wouldn't work?

The ships that have the thickening fins are DDs in SFU.

It looks to have nearly the same internal volume as the Fed CA... which has nearly triple the internal hits.

Other than scaling, it looks pretty slick.

You have to remember some key points:

The vanes on the Tholian PC are about two decks thick which the two largest decks on the Fed saucer cover.

The extra decks on the saucer, the multiple decks on the "neck" and secondary hull would take up much more volume than what is left on the PC.

Also the PC has it's engines built into the vanes so you would need to include the Fed's engines in the measurements as well.

I considered the engines in that. The one illustrated looks HUGE in comparison to the fed, and definitely doesn't look "two decks thick". It could easily include the engines and aft hull with room to spare.

You also have to consider that the Fed CA has large spaces dedicated to parks, bowling alleys, swimming pools, etc.

The PC is too big.
